Eragon

I have read Eragon (Inheritance, Book 1) by Christopher Paolini, twice — once when it first appeared on store bookshelves and again about a year ago.

eragon

Eragon is about the adventures of a boy who finds a dragon egg and is then forced by an evil king to leave the world he knows and travel to a world that makes little sense to him.   With the help of his new mentor and his dragon, he  must confront and stop the evil king.

A movie has been made of this book, but I definitely recommend reading the book first.  The book is a lot better than the movie.  A lot.
